ALL-NEW RANGE ROVER

After being on sale for just one month, the All-New Range Rover, which recently made its global public debut at the Paris Motor Show has been placed top in the 4x4 category in the Sunday Times Driving Top 100 Cars.
Judges from the motoring section of the UK's most influential quality newspaper were impressed by the all-new, British designed and built model:
“Since its launch in 1970 it has set the standard all others have tried — and usually failed — to reach. It is the only car in the world in which you would feel equally comfortable driving across the Sahara, going shooting or giving it to the doorman at the Hotel de Paris in Monaco.”
No journalist has driven the car yet, but a passenger ride with Land Rover’s Chief Engineer, Vehicle Integrity, Mike Cross was enough to convince the jurors.
The All-New Range Rover, which went on sale in the UK on the 7 September, is the fourth generation of the iconic go-anywhere vehicle. Up to 420 kg lighter than the outgoing model, it is the world’s first all-aluminium monocoque SUV.
Unrivalled in its capability, the new Range Rover features Terrain Response® 2 which uses sophisticated ‘intelligent’ systems to analyse the current driving conditions, and automatically select the most suitable terrain program.
The new model’s wading depth has been increased to 900 mm, an increase of 200mm over the outgoing model.
An acclaimed line-up of diesel and petrol engines delivers smooth and effortless performance, with CO2emissions from just 196g/km thanks to the addition of the sophisticated 3.0-litre TDV6 engine to the model line.
Customers have a choice of a petrol 510PS LR-V8 Supercharged and two diesel (3.0-litre 258PS TDV6 and 4.4-litre 339PS SDV8) engines, all of which are now paired with a smooth and responsive eight-speed automatic transmission.
The All-New Range Rover features new levels of luxury and convenience thanks to increased cabin space with rear occupants being treated to 118mm extra leg room and best in class knee room.
On sale now with prices commencing at £71,295, first customer deliveries in the UK will start in January 2013.
